About us

Hi and welcome to the website of the Anglo Motorsport Safety Team (A.M.S.T) Some of you will have seen our team in action at various motorsport events, some of you may not, If you want to know more have a look at our site.

A.M.S.T has branched off from the Anglo Freelanders, which covered members from South Wales, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, and as the Anglo freelanders have grown, we have gained members from Shropshire and Bristol, and as far away as Yorkshire and Essex.

We are all fans of Motorsports and 4x4, we have our own committee, we have had a few social events, and weekend away events as a team.

Our History as A.M.S.T, our first event as a team was Caerwent, We updated everyone to say we were going and if anyone wanted to have a look to see what motorsport rallying was all about.
On that day 6 of us attend the event had some fun, bacon butties all around,
We came up with the idea to make it a regular thing and start a team, so we started the Anglo Fire Marshals team.
After a little rethinking we decided to rename ourselves Anglo motorsport Safety team, after a discussion between the team then, while being a marshal at a motorsport event it is about remaining safe while enjoying being a marshal and we believe greatly in being able to enjoy motorsport events in a safe manner for all spectators, media and everyone taking part in the events.

We are a strong team with various members of age and experience, some of the marshals within A.M.S.T have been Marshalling for 20 years +.
We are always looking for new members who want to get into rallying/ Marshalling, All of our members have been MSA Accredited, anyone wishing to become a marshal will need to complete a MSA Accreditation, this is done on a yearly basis.

Who are the team?

You can find out more about the team and their vehicles on the team page, we are always looking for new and enthusiastic marshals, all of our marshals will need to have completed the MSA accreditation online, this is done on a yearly basis.

What are our plans for the future?

In the future we want to carry on increasing our members and attending more events, we work closely with Rally Stage Team and we will carry on working with them to support more motorsport events.
We aim to attend other events such as car shows, Fetes and other events to get the A.M.S.T name out there, we also are hopeful in the future to be able to take part in a fund raising event to raise money for a few things close to the heart to A.M.S.T.

We are also hopeful to raise money for A.M.S.T as a team for further training and equipment we may need to buy.
We are always grateful for any donations of Marshals kit: Hi-Viz vests, First aid donations etc
If anybody has any of these donations then please feel free to contact us.

We will remain a strong team and continue to work together to making your day out at a motorsport event a safe one.
